Scheduling, Payments, & Policies

Hilton Restorative Massage does NOT require you to wear a mask during your session. Your room will be sanitized between sessions. However, if you feel safer wearing a mask during your massage you are welcome to.

Due to respecting other patrons in the building we ask that young children remain home or have additional childcare before arriving to your massage.

Hilton Restorative Massage accepts cash, check, credit and debit cards, gift cards, HSA ,and FSA.

Hilton Restorative Massage does NOT accept insurance. However, I do accept HSA(Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flex Spending Account).

Less then 24 hour notice – A charge of $30 will be charged to the card on file. No shows- will be charged the full amount of the session.
Over 24 hours notice – no additional charges will be filed

Before, During, and After Your Massage

NO!!!! The massage profession has come a long way in the medical community. The word “masseuse or masseur ” are derogatory words to our profession and should never be used in conjunction to pain management.

Yes!

15 years and younger- A parent must remain in the session room. A parent will also need to sign off on a release form. Please inform Hilton Restorative Massage of this upon booking so that proper paperwork may be completed BEFORE your session.

16-17 years old – A parent will need to sign off permission, but will NOT need to remain in the room. Please inform Hilton Restorative Massage of this upon booking so that proper paperwork may be completed BEFORE your session.

18 years and up – Go ahead and schedule that massage!!

Unfortunately NO. Hilton Restorative Massage is a sole practice and therefore can not accommodate double massages.

Yes!! Amy is a certified prenatal massage specialist with experience working in ALL 3 trimesters. Please make sure that you include this in your medical history and that you inform Hilton Restorative Massage upon booking. Please include how far along in the pregnancy you are.

Time for you appointment has been specifically arranged for you. You should always plan to arrive 15 minutes BEFORE your session. If you arrive late your session may be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours. Your full time can NOT be guaranteed if you arrive late. Full payment for your scheduled services will be expected.

Your appointment has been allotted a certain time. This means the hands on portion of your massage will take place during that specific time. For example: Your 10:00 massage is from 10:00-11:00. This means you should arrive minimum 15 minutes early to go over paperwork, discussion, and game plan for your session. You will then have your massage time during that allotted time. If you have a 10:00 appointment and arrive at 10:00, you are late and time will be deducted from your hands on time.

** Discussion of your session MUST take place prior to the start of your session.

You will receive 50 minutes hands on time with 5 minutes to get undressed and redressed.

It is important for you to fully complete your Health History and keep Hilton Restorative Massage up to date on your history. Not all types of massage are appropriate for all conditions. If you are unsure if massage is safe then please call the office and verify prior to booking.

If you are feeling sick then you should remain home. You should not receive a massage if you have had a fever in the last 24 hours. Note that charges may still apply to same day cancels even for sickness

YES! Your therapist is not a mind reader. Expect a lot of communication during your first session.

You do not need to necessarily shower before your massage, but we do ask that you come to your appointment clean, and free of fragrance and smoke.

There is no additional clothing that you will need to bring. Hilton Restorative Massage wants all our clients to feel secure and comfortable. We demonstrate proper draping to insure your modesty during each session.

It can sound odd to be told to undress to your comfortable level. At Hilton Restorative Massage, how we define that is for women it is always easier to work on neck and shoulders with NO bra. Therefore, please remove your bra before getting on the table. It is always the choice of the client wither they feel comfortable leaving underwear on or off for their session.

YES! Amy is certified by the North Carolina Board of Massage and Bodywork Therapy.

To be eligible to receive a license for Massage Therapy in the state of North Carolina, massage therapist must complete a minimum of 500 hours in an approved massage therapy school, pass a national certification exam, and obtain any other business licenser needed. North Carolina requires massage therapist to complete 24 hours of continuing education to renew their license every 2 years.
